Edmonds underwater park is a marine protected area since 1970. It is a giant area with well thought out lines / guidances with interesting features to create artificial reefs in shallow area. All for divers and swimmers! The only drawback is the descent point is a good 15-min swim from shore… Prepare for it

Dive Site Information
Dive Profile:
It is a HUGE underwater park. Each ‘block’ is about 300ft *300 ft and there are about ~27 blocks. But most of them are around 40ft/13m.
For first timer, most people recommend to start at Jetty Way. I personally have only done Jetty Way.
Walk out to Edmonds Waterfront Viewpoint, then you will be able to see the buoys linked to the cross-sections of the Jetty way. So that’s the buoy we were aiming for… it took us a good 15min to swim there. This is the time I truly wanted a DPV and really admire divers who are taking their open water certification classes here.
Once descend, the artifical reef are structured with guidlines / pipes/ slate to grids, so just keep exploring and remember to turn back the same way.
Current: A little bit.
Bottom composition: Sands
Things to see: lots of big fishes like lingcod and cabezons. Even rockfishes are bigger here.
