Sund Rock is a conservation area, managed by the Sund family. This is one of the top sites / must-do sites in the PNW area! The sites are easily accessible, with a lot of amenities, and… occasionally cookies! Reserve your spots early if you want to dive there and respect the families and area when you dive!

Dive Profile:
North Wall/Fish bowl: Walk down the beach and swim to the buoy. Descend at the buoy then you should be at the start of the North Wall. The North Wall is tiny. I would say if I swim at a normal pace, I will probably finish in 5 minutes. However, huge Giant Pacific Octopuses and Wolf Eels have called here their home. So look into the rocks and crevices to find them. The bottom of the wall is about 50 – 60 ft (16 -20m), depending on the tides.
South Wall: Walk through the path by the porta-potty, pass the picnic tables, and descend a few stone stairs down to the beach. The path can get slippery if it has been raining so be careful. Go into the water, look to the south side, then you will see a big boulder. You can either surface swim around the boulder then descend (I prefer this) or just descend and swim around the boulder. The boulder is vertical, so you can’t really swim on top of it to pass. Then just follow the contour (with rocks on your right shoulder) to keep going south to explore! The South Wall is a bit deeper and definitely much longer than the North Wall. Plenty of rock fishes. resident wolf eels and critters here.
Current: Typically current insensitive.
Bottom composition: Sands
Things to see: Giant pacific octopus, wolf eels, various species of rock fish, nudis, and more.
